‘Tis true, of course—I’d never contradict such wise words, especially when spoken by myself. David Beckham, though, is not a mere English “soccer player”; rather he is a gift from the gods, and I don’t doubt even the handsome Paul Collingwood would kneel down before him (if you know what I mean).
